Not my style...however....

It looks like Xerjoff (another Italian house) has some competition. Say what you will about the composition, the quality is second only to the most expensive fragrances out there. The longevity and sillage are outstanding. While this fragrance seems a bit dated to me, it's still easy to appreciate the skillful blending of only the highest quality ingredients.
Royal Crown Absolute is mainly about the rose, jasmine, and Laotian oud. I don't know that I would characterize this as a "woody fougere" though. There are a lot of notes in this fragrance, perhaps too many---the more complex the composition, the closer it resembles a designer fragrance in my experience. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not me.
Well worth the try, however.
