Trudon is a French niche fragrance house whose origins date back to 1643, when Claude Trudon established a wax and spice business in Paris. The manufacture became known for producing high-quality beeswax candles used by royal courts and major churches, including Versailles, and was officially recognized as a Royal Wax Manufacturer in the 18th century. Its craftsmanship was documented in major scientific and artisanal references of the period and later honored with a gold medal at the 1889 World’s Fair in Paris.
The company adopted the name Cire Trudon in 2007 and focused on perfumed candle production, maintaining traditional hand-crafted techniques. A personal fragrance line was introduced in 2017. The brand’s perfumes have been developed in collaboration with perfumers Antoine Lie, Yann Vasnier, Lyn Harris, and Émilie Bouge, with releases spanning from 2017 to 2025.
