    5 Stars for Layering Value

    Is this a once-in-a-generation star on its own? Not so much. That said, this scent is absolutely perfect for layering with exotic spicy amber perfumes in a way that makes them more approachable. The aoud is barely there (no "funk" in this one), and the vanilla isn't too powdery or cloying. More like a slightly woody vanilla cream to help smooth out a cup of coffee. I sampled Aoud Vanille elsewhere and decided to buy smaller through Scent Split - this review is following my 2nd purchase and I would use them again. Definitely better than having a full bottle go bad before you can finish it.
