Haltane

Unfortunately, scent smelled inconsistent. First couple of sprays were fine. After that, doesn’t smell like the first couple of sprays. Consistency doesn’t appear to be there. Was disappointed with this sample and the performance. Didn’t seem to hold up or even last. Unsure of the consistency in the sample. Smells like other things are mixed in with the sample.

A nice classy scent for a more sophisticated man in a suit, with a nice glass of bourbon or scotch whiskey.

I loved PdM’s Haltane so much, I bought the 100 ml after my sample from Scent Split, who’s out here protecting us from blind buying.

Haltane is great! It really is such a fantastic fragrance, especially during the Christmas season... it smells light of a pine tree and slight of dirt/earthy. I just wish it lasted longer. It's like being in your house with a real Christmas tree - you catch wafts of the smell every now and then lol but in only less than an hour span. Unless you have a bunch of pine trees in your house -- you're really not gonna smell it unless you walk right close to it or stick your head into it lol. I don't get these ppl who says it last all day...; I sprayed it 24 times & a couple spots on upper body a few times in the same place and it rapidly became a skin scent with-in 30-40 minutes. And I'm not gonna keep spraying myself in-front of my family like a crazy guy on Christmas lol. 4 stars is kinda being generous as such an expensive fragrance with such heritage and such a staple of elegance..., so it's such a let down how nice it smells but doesn't last/nor project very long at all. If I find they ever re-formulate it so that it last longer I'll then consider buying a full bottle. I've heard ofg from Initio is similar so I'll try that one next, if that one last longer then I'll like it more

First smell I said, "whoah".... Memories I don't really have came rushing in familiar yet cutting-edge nostalgia I can't place. Like an amalgamation of past goodness for the future. I smelled my wrist later and couldn't remember what it was. It's so sexy. Ear and neck spot worthy. Catch her sneaking in close to sniff.

i tested this side by side with initios oud for greatness, and i prefer the additional sweetness in haltane. its has the same clean and non-challenging western oud accord that’s present in oud for greatness, but haltane adds more sweetness and a bit of freshness from citrus. this isn’t quite a loud as oud for greatness, although it does project and last quite well. where oud for greatness might get too intense for myself and others, i think haltane takes just a little bit of a softer approach. i would certainly purchase a full bottle and understand the hype completely
