    Oud Minérale by Tom Ford is a Woody Aquatic fragrance for Women and Men.

     

    Created by Givaudan perfumer Shyamala Maisondieu, Oud Minérale captures the invigorating force of the etesian winds from the Aegean Sea. This unique fragrance opens with a sunlit driftwood woodiness, enhanced by the freshness of pink peppercorns and the salty essence of seaweed, creating a mesmerizing first impression.

    As the scent develops, the combination of earth and water intensifies with the spiky, peppery richness of oud wood, complemented by warm styrax and luminous ambergris. The result is a fragrance that evokes the enigmatic depths of a silver-surfaced ocean, offering a refreshing and sophisticated scent experience.

    Beautiful Scent

    I love it, it’s not soft in any way, but smells like a blustery autumn day at the beach. I don’t really get much oud, but I don’t care. It’s very close to just being the ocean. I sometimes layer it with Cool Water, which adds just a bit of sweetness.

    Unique and Classy

    Some do not like the opening but I really do. Then it settles into very classy scent with balsam note. Very clean scent.

    Not a fan

    In search of a fresh, ocean/marine scent minus the suntan lotion smell. This one *sounded* promising, but the reality was different. On my skin, it had a dirty fuel tinged patchouli aroma that was decidedly unpleasant. So happy I was able to sample it before investing in an unwearable perfume.
