Burdél is a word typical of our town’s dialect. It means "boys and girls" or “kids” but only those full of life and with joy in their hearts. That carefree youth who, like all of us throughout our lives, are simply in search of happiness! The cinematographic work whose singular title Amarcord means “I remember” in dialect, tells the story of these carefree young people from Romagna. Curious to discover life, their journey fluctuates between dream and reality, in an insight into one of the most complex and complicated moments in Italian history. Among the Oscar winning films of the great director Federico Fellini, Amarcord is by far the one that best describes the land where Paolo and Tiziana were born, grew up and breathed in the air of the Terenzi Dolce Vita. A sweet and dreamlike spirit that has always characterized the personal and professional paths of the two inseparable siblings. Amarcord, a word from the regional vernacular, that has now been adopted into the official Italian Dictionary, is an expression of nostalgic memory and the evocation of the past. It resounds with all the poetic essence that is found in every Terenzi creation. The poetic emotions that reverberate on the notes of this perfume evoke unique feelings that can make any moment magical. Reality merges with imagination as the sky mockingly camouflages itself against the sea of the Romagna Riviera where Paolo and Tiziana often sail and always return home after their long journeys. Memories mix with dreams and at times the beauty of a real-life moment far exceeds that of any imaginary wonder, as reality becomes enchantment.
This is the strength of those who know how to dream while remaining strongly rooted, like the Terenzi siblings, to their beloved land. The creation opens with an unprecedented and acrobatic bouquet, with mellow, fluctuating echoes of exotic spices. Syrian Cumin and the Guatemalan Cardamom are sweetened by the rare and ancient essence of Greek Cistus flower and the effervescence of Royal Bergamot from Calabria. The heart of the fragrance is tinged with a kaleidoscope of outlandish colours that envelop a creation of misty and profound mystery. An extravagant harmony of precious woods and balsams, such as Indian Gurjum Balm embraced by the strength of Cypriol and the vigor of Brazilian Guaiac Wood, are unexpectedly softened by the sweet and seductive scent of Lily of the Valley. The base of this creation is made up of powerful scents that remain, nevertheless, refined and elegant, thanks to the skilful blending of Musk with Madagascan Vanilla and precious Ambergris from the Terenzi Library. The whole is offset by the energetic vigour of rare and precious Buaya Oudh from Laos (also known as White Oudh), and Indonesian Sandalwood. Burdèl embodies all the misty and muffled mystery of a time gone by. A drop of essence that will whisk you away on a journey, suspended between dream and reality, to the most sort after of destinations. Allow yourself to be lulled by these notes of refined seduction and enchantment.
