Fresh. Aromatic. Lightly powdered. Absolutely gorgeous.

I'm noticing a pattern in the names Royal Crown chooses for their best fragrances. Names like : SULTAN; KHAN; IMPERATOR. Names associated with famous and infamous royalty and class, and all of them are my favorites from Royal Crown. I've yet to try TSAR, which fits into the pattern. Great expectations.
Royal Crowns' Imperator is absolutely exquisite! The top notes of Cardoman and nutmeg are uncharacteristically subtle--at least initially--as is the cedar and green notes of olive leaf and laurel, it's the slightly powdery middle and base notes that shine; the rose, olibanum, myrrh and iris combined with the cardomon that rule. In the drydown the cardomon begins to dominate. Always regal, always classy. Actually, this is hard to describe, much less categorize. The quality and the performance are what you'd expect for the price and from this house. This fragrance is unisex and probably wearable year-round. Good stuff!
