It arrived earlier than expected which I was really happy about. The scent it was good but it was sharp to my nose. which ended up being the deal breaker.
First impressions:
-Floral with some sweetness
-Reminds me of Donna Born in Roma Intense
-Mom said it smells like medicine
-Noticing that there is something sharp about this fragrance
-smells like a caramel apple
-strong scent of rose
-the dry down is soft, sweet, creamy, and musky
After I sprayed it on myself with a travel sprayer
It was really strong. My mom said it gave her a bad headache. It was sweet and fresh. It was a sort of pleasant freshness. It's not as rich or heavy as Vanille Exclusive.
There was something sharp about it. I am assuming it is the osmanthus in the opening. It's a sharp white floral. A review on Fragrantica described it as if you had sea salt in the back of your throat and I agree. That aspect of it is what is throwing me off. Had it been smoother I would've liked it 100% but I cannot get past it.
It lasts a good amount of time and it has a strong projection. With just four sprays my friend was able to smell me just by coming up to me not fully near me.
On Fragrantica Erba Pura by Xerjoff is listed as the perfume closest to Jardin Exclusif. I asked my friend about it because he loves Erba Pura and he said that it smells a little like it but Erba Pura is a lot different.
To conclude, Jardin Exclusif is light and airy with a good amount of sweetness. It has a fresh aspect to it. It lasts a good while and people will smell you, however, it can induce headaches in people who are sensitive to fragrances like my mom. I would not recommend it for enclosed areas like school or work. There is also a sharp white floral aspect, which for me is a deal breaker.
