    Poivre 23 translates into Pepper 23 and it's Le Labo's pepper statement, developed in partnership with Nathalie Lorson, and only available as an Extrait de Parfum. Why pepper ? (and we're talking true Bourbon Pepper, the Rolls of peppers) Because it's the spice of all spices, widely used in perfumery, and we wanted pepper to finally get what it deserves: the limelight. Pepper with cistus, gaiac, patchouli, incense, Australian sandalwood and other subtle notes. It is very warm, ultra spicy, truly oriental and it is only for London.

    Mild Notes Muddled Together into a Warm Bouquet of Earthy Florals

    The Poivre 23 (London City Exclusive) was an absolute miss for me in terms of fragrance suitability. The medley of mild notes hinted at a fragrant rose or patchouli shrouded in a ring of more earthy tones such as musk or sandalwood and blended with an added sweetener like vanilla. I suspect my 5oz decanted bottle of this scent will remain full, but I hope I discover it's better qualities in a different season (currently summer) or during evening wear.
