    Amazingreen by Comme des Garcons is an Aromatic Green fragrance for women and men. 

     

    Amazingreen is a refreshing fragrance with a prominent aroma of green pepper and aquatic notes paired with an intense leafy render of palm tree leaves and piercing greenness of ivy to elevate the initial verdant vibe. The perfume then rests on an earthy and smoky metallic theme in which iris has an unfiltered quality and it nicely matches the incense, vetiver, and the gunpowder accord.

    Good but a bit basic

    Amazingreen feels a bit basic for a green scent – it’s not really a fresh or wet green, but darker and drier. The smoke and gunpowder are probably what lean it more in this direction, and they tend to overtake the green at some points. It’s a bit soapy or barber shop-y, but not in a bad way? I definitely don’t dislike this scent, it just makes me feel like I’d fit right in with the men of the office who are wearing basic, masculine colognes, rather than standing out with a scent that’s unique across all my collogues. I’ve been trying to find my signature green scent for spring, and Amazingreen won’t be a contender. That being said, the gunpowder, smoke, and powdery sensations from the orris root give it autumnal vibes for me, so I’ll definitely be trying it out again later this year!
