Just like in Baudelaire's poem, the sensual aroma of musk in Micallef's Royal Muska, “sings, transporting the soul and sense.” Infused with the creamy sensuality of the indolent flowers of ylang ylang and with the honeyed opulence of roses, the fragrance is exotic and infinitely feminine. The base of benzoin and ripe fruits puts a delicious twist on the composition, giving it a tropical air. This is the scent of tanned skin, of hot days and sultry nights, the heavenly aroma of passionate paradise.

I love to wear one spritz of this right out of the shower to extend that “clean” feeling. This has been especially fun to layer with light/bright scents like Escentric Molecule 01+ Mandarin.
This doesn’t last more than 3-4 hours on my skin, and it isn’t obvious to everyone I pass that I’m wearing perfume, but I prefer skin scents and feel embarrassed when I wear perfume with a big scent trail, so this is perfect for me. If I want it to last a little longer then I just lightly mist my shirt with it.
It’s also a great work scent— I’m a female lawyer and the last thing I want is to show up in court and stink up the room with an overpowering perfume. Although I do think it’s possible to overspray, 1-2 sprays of this won’t offend or distract anyone and I feel more professional, confident, and put-together when I’m wearing it.
I love sweet perfumes with a hint of musk, so I thought I’d love this one. It reminds me more of a scented oil, than a delicate perfume.
