The opening smells sharp, no clear note shining through but it smells altogether powdery (not to be confused with the gunpowder note). After a fifteen minute cooldown, it settles in to a less sharp powder it’s different than before leading me to believe this is the actual gunpowder note. An hour in and it’s a leathery-powder scent, with a hint of tobacco but absolutely no rum. It’s synthetic but quite enjoyable. I’d like to wait longer to make another note but it’s incredibly faint by hour three, the rum is finally evident and it smells amazing but a shame it was hidden till the very end. Overall I like the scent and will be buying a full bottle but it’s held back from receiving anything above 4 stars because of the longevity being so poor. Definitely a masculine leaning scent but it’s still something I’m going to wear.

Maybe it's because of the climate in the region where I live but I haven't been able to use it in colder weather because at least in warm weather it doesn't work, hence my rating. I hope to change my mind once the weather allows me to do cold testing.

The package was smaller then what I ordered. Took longer to get here then what I paid for.
