    Synthetic Jungle by Frederic Malle is a Chypre fragrance for women and men. 

    An ode to cult perfumes of the 1970s, the Synthetic Jungle eau de parfum from Frederic Malle takes inspiration from the outdoors. This fragrance was created by French perfumer Anne Flipo who used her childhood memories to reimagine nature in a bottle. The floral and woody scent sees opulent basil blended with bouquets of hyacinth and jasmine – all balanced with leather and patchouli for a clean and crisp blend that’s perfect for your everyday edit.

    Not your typical Green

    Upon first application I felt as though I had fainted into a bed of dark, glossy ivy. This is dark green, not the typical freshie greens I usually encounter. I felt it a bit overpowering at first, but it soon settled down. Then jasmine emerged first, followed by the lily of the valley peeking through. This is quite well done but I gave it 4 stars because it's not something I'd wear often. A sample is enough for me. Still, I enjoy it when I'm in the mood for an excursion into a shady green jungle.

    The Name Says it All!

    It really does smell like a synthetic jungle, and I love fresh green smells! This to me has something that I don't like. I was very excited because the notes were very much up my alley.
    It's not a bad smell, it's just not for me. I think the craftmanship in the fragrance shows, but I can see this being someone else's love. Very unique. Moderate projection, long longevity.
