Vert des Bois by Tom Ford is a Woody fragrance for Women and Men.

Vert Des Bois by Tom Ford is a smart aromatic-spicy blend that defies conventional fragrance standards with its unique combination of woods, resins, and sharp spices. The scent opens with an intriguing boozy ouzo accord, bursting with anise and poplar tree buds, deepened by the addition of olive leaves and ripe plum for extra richness.

The heart of the fragrance features jasmine, further enriched by the earthy quality of mastic, adding complexity and depth. As Vert Des Bois settles, it leaves a lasting impression with its base of roasted patchouli and warm tonka bean, making this scent both bold and captivating.

Not for me

I really like most of the Tom Ford scents I've ever encountered. Black orchid is my signature fall/winter fragrance and I have recently discovered a love of Santal blush. So I thought I would try vert de bois since I like unusual scents. However, this is one is not for me. I love masculine scents and have been known to wear men's cologne in the past. This is definitely masculine, to the point where I would not feel comfortable wearing it. It definitely has a "green" smell to it, a note I normally love. But this fragrance reminds me of one from Avon from the 70s....I can't remember the name of it, but it was a men's cologne, it came in one of the glass bottles, and this scent hits all those memories for me. It somehow manages to smell piney and powdery at the same time. Not sure how that's even possible. I might try to push this off on my husband, but I'm not even sure I want to smell it on him :(
