Pine truly makes the scent “green.” The aroma of conifers (Pinales) comes from the essential oil derived from the plant's resin. It is distinctive, festive, and pleasing. In the world of symbols, among many other meanings, it expresses striving and upward effort; in Japan, it is associated with masculinity and power, often seen as a motif on armor and swords. Therefore, it fits this composition not only as a note but also as a symbol. The scent of pine is unique, sweet-balsamic, and green, with hints of coumarin.
