"Why did I make this perfume? Kyoto is my favorite place in the world. I need something to remind me of the temples and gardens. "Mushin," is a traditional incense perfume. A very accurate reconstruction of temple incense you will smell wandering the streets of Kyoto Japan. I lived and worked in Tokyo for a decade, my favorite city, however, was Kyoto. I loved this ancient capital so much in fact that I traveled there a dozen times. Kyoto is home to the Geisha, some 2000 temples, shrines and moss gardens. What does “Mushin,” mean? Mushin means "without mind." Basically, this amounts to a free, relaxed concentration. To be in the present moment, to be content and absorbed with the task at hand. This is the feeling I get while making perfumes. I am in a "Mushin," state of mind while being creative." - a note from the brand.

Notes:

sandalwood, oud, osmanthus flower, apricot, jasmine and nagarmoth
