    As the new successor to fragrance Encre Noire by Lalique presented in 2006, the market welcomes ENCRE NOIRE A L'Extreme, an intense masculine edition available since October 2015. With its design, the new edition reminds us of the famous "Encrier" designed by Rene Lalique in 1913, which served for design of the first fragrance Encre Noir and its successors Encre Noire Pour Elle in 2009 and Encre Noire Sport in 2013. The latest edition after moving towards a lighter interpretation and ‘sporty’ version of the original, the accent is now placed on intensive woodsy blend of cypress and vetiver.

    Composition of the new fragrance ENCRE NOIRE A L'EXTREME is announced as very masculine, intensive, powerful.

    I can't stand when people leave reviews like the one below ("not for me" isn't a review, it's an opinion and not a very teased out one at that).

    If you're already into woods, this probably won't blow your mind BUT for the price, it's really something else. You certainly get the pencil shaving smell (ISO E Super?) but the entire formulation smells like they didn't cut many corners besides perhaps the longevity for which I give it 4 stars instead of 5. I own a decent amount of fragrances, bottles and decants, in the range of about 70 different types. I love wood-based frags and own several niche ones which I absolutely love but when I need a hit of something simple, warm, and woodsy, this is my go-to. An EdP for about $50 for 100ml. You won't regret this purchase, unless you're the guy below this review but he didn't really describe what his issue about this was, so that's on him. Safe blind buy.
