Indult, from Medieval Latin “indultum,” means a special exemption or privilege granted by a high ranking Catholic Church authority or a king. In this case, it means a free pass to a world of rare and achingly beautiful French perfumes, the first three of which are so stunningly unique and best in class that we had to sit down and fan ourselves after trying them (and then argue over which one we loved more). Tihota, Manakara, Reve en Cuir and Isravaya were all blended by celebrated perfume designer Francis Kurkdjian and reflect his belief that perfume, as a work of art, is a transmitted expression of intimacy.
