Transformative. Bravo.

I agree with the other reviewer. Almost brought me to tears, truly, and I am not one to speak so dramatically. I felt a flood or memories and visuals come to mind. Living on the no longer operational Coast Guard base that is Governor's Island in NYC as an adolecent. Commuting to and from Manhattan for school. The smell of the sea , the ferry terminal pilings greased with creosote , the mineral heavy whiff of corrosion on metal hulls and seawall cyclone fences. The colors I see are the dense tide water estuary green of the east river but also the deep Atlantic blue in the depths and on the horizon. Gosh. For me this is addictive , and I UNDERSTAND NOW , AMBERGRIS , amazing.
This is actually the story of the sea in a bottle.

Intoxicating

I've never had a signature before, but all I want to wear is this. I resent the money I've spent on other colognes up to this point. No doubt this will pass, but I recently (and reluctantly) tried a sample of Malles' "The Night," a scent nearly guaranteed to make me fall in love with it. "Meh," was all I could say. I couldn't wait to wash it off and apply Silence the Sea. I'm afraid this is what addiction looks like.

Don’t buy this is mine

This perfume is the perfume of the book perfume: story of a murder. This is the most intoxicated, sexy, and magical . When I first smell it I got on tears. This is my scent !

The real deal ambergris

Too forward to wear in public, except maybe to a gathering of fragrance afficionados. I've never smelled something so pungent and strong. Impressive formulation, if only perhaps for the technical and artistic aspects of this composition. If you want to know what ambergris is you cannot go wrong with this one.

Amazing

Love it, smells almost like a piece of cedar driftwood but with an indescribable warmth and spice
