Hoo Doo is an African American spiritual practice, also known as “root work,” that involves the use of roots, herbs, and other natural objects for spiritual and medicinal purposes, and is often used for protection, luck, and love spells. Hoo Doo focuses on the natural environment and emphasizes ancestor worship. Hoo Doo also incorporates Christian elements and is often practiced alongside Christianity. Hoo Doo Blues emerged from ingredients commonly used in Hoo Doo practices, specifically those found in the famous New Orleans Hoo Doo Magic Oils recipes. It is a perfume with a strong botanical character, vibrant and dark, with floral and animalic touches, enlivened with a spicy touch. Here we have a scent that presents the force of nature in an olfactory symphony of white, green, brown and red tones, ready to stimulate and connect with internal feelings such as hope, resilience and desire.
