This scent makes me smile. I live in a tropical climate but work in ice cold ac and the fragrance performs well in both warm and cold air. I find the vanilla is stronger in the cold while the creamy coconut shines in the warmth. Currently I am graduating from designer/department store fragrances and wanted to find something more mature to dip my toes into niche fragrances.
The first day I wore Coco Vanille my nose became blind to it very quickly (perhaps I am too used to vanilla fragrances as it’s is one of my favorite notes and I am not used to niche fragrances) and I thought the scent was a bust. It wasn’t very complex and from the opening: it was nice but didn’t seem unique enough to make me want to purchase a full bottle. Throughout the day, as I was chatting with a coworker who visited my cubicle, I noticed how good she smelled and I wondered what she was wearing that smelled so delightful. I waited for her to return so I could ask, and I propped my chin in my hand, savoring the sweet creamy scent that warmed up the cold AC office. As soon as my chin hit my palm I reassured that scent was coming from MY wrists. The simple coconut opening that left home with me in the warm weather had mutated into a warm sweet floral that was anchored by the vanilla. It very much feels like walking though a tropical flower forest and instantly lifts my mood and brings a big smile to my face. I thoroughly enjoy this fragrance despite its simplicity. Sometimes less is more and I am ordering a full bottle as I write.
