    Ho-hum

    There was nothing particularly noteworthy about this fragrance. Artemisia/wormwood? Yeah, it's in there somewhere in an anisette sort of way, along with juniper and something menthol. I'm glad I smelled it, but it did nothing for me. I already put the sample in the 'give away' pile since I don't find anything about it interesting enough to keep around.

    Powder

    A nice, simple, powdery scent quickly after spraying. Top notes are cold and crisp greens, but this is gone very soon. Too expensive imo for a traditional powder scent

    Not what I expected

    The 5 stars is for Scent Split's packaging, which is awesome. The atomizers are some of the best out of the 50+ samples I own. That being said, Absinthe Boreale isn't the chilly, ethereal absinthe scent I was hoping it to be. I'm not saying it smells bad; it's sweet, almost syrupy but not cloying, being a wonderful scent of itself. Just not what the name suggests it should be.
