    The house of Lubin launches a new version of the masculine scent Idole from 2005 (which, on the other hand, is a modern interpretation of the fragrance from 1962). Perfumer Olivia Giacobetti, the designer of the original version, also signs the new Idole Eau de Parfum version.

    The inspirations for Idole line are adventures and travels, discovering of new and exotic countries, fearlessness and desire for excitement. Idole Eau de Parfum is dedicated to extraordinary women like Alexandra David-Neel, Mary Kingsley, Amelia Earhart, Charmian Kitteredge and Karen Blixen, the adventuress who had traveled the world and explored new areas, their bravery and courage.

    Idole Eau de Parfum was launched in 2011.

    NOTES

    Notes of amber, labdanum and incense are added to the original fragrance formula. The opening consists of rum, saffron, black cumin and bitter orange. The heart follows with accords of Doum palm, smoked ebony, olibanum, incense and sugar cane. The base features leather, red amber, labdanum and sandalwood.

    Nice smell

    I really like this one...the only thing is, no projection, no performance. I can spray this on my arm, but can't
    really smell the scent unless I put my nose right on it, and it fades fairly quick...maybe this batch was
    made weak

    One of the greats.

    This stuff smells great and is very easy to wear. The opening consists of rum, saffron and ebony; possibly some black cumin and bitter orange. Think of a woody Dr. Pepper. The heart is smoked ebony, incense and sugar cane. The base features leather, amber, labdanum and sandalwood. It is similar to, but better than, Bently for Men Intense and, to a lesser degree, Olfactive Studio Chambre Noire.
