Amélie Bourgeois rose to the challenge of finding the notes for such a strong-willed perfume. She built a floral, spicy jus, gentle yet feisty, reflecting the paradox of Laskarina. You could say it embodies the iron fist in a velvet glove. Starting off on fresh, sweet notes, it ends on unyielding accords of pepper and amber.

Fragrance pyramid

Top notes: Italian bergamot, grapefruit, pink peppercorn, pear sorbet Middle notes: Tunisian orange blossom, Bulgarian rose
Base notes: frankincense, black pepper, iris, Ambroxan Ambrocenide

Things Change 🤷

I typically wait until I gave worn a fragrance several times before reviewing. This time, I failed. I wore it a few times in the summer and thought I knew it well.... I apologize. I only bought a small sample so wears were limited. I wore the remaining sample in this cold Michigan, zero degrees winter and WOW!!! My mind has changed! In this beautiful brisk cold, not only does the musk disappear and never come back, thebnain lingering note is fresh yet dry tobacco. I absolutely love thisas a winter scent. I should know better by now :D I'm glad I saved some for bour changing seasons. I will be buying a larger dose.

Interesting

It starts off perfect!! Then it gets surprisingly sweet for about an hour. It does smell pleasant. Turns into just musk after about two hours and that mush lasts forever and sticks to clothes for days. I can literally still smell the musk on the jacket I'm wearing right now and I wore Laskarina 3 days ago. Nice scent but not for everyday wear.
