This brand new concept from Romano Ricci is a modern day fragrance that is 100% synthetic and created without allergens.

    Not a Perfume is made of 1 single synthetic ingredient Cetalox. Cetalox is a molecular creation that comes from the organic research. Developed by Firmenich in the 1950's to replace Ambergris, a very rare natural secretion of whales, Ambroxan comes in the form of white crystals. It is usually used as a back note in perfume composition, even if its smell is curiously quite far from its original inspiration.

    Find your fun where you can

    This smells great to me and I really, REALLY like it. It also opens the door for a peculiarly vaudevillian exchange. Why? Because when (and, trust me, it's "when" and not "if") someone says, "Wowza, you smell great -- what IS that stuff?", I can say, "It's 'Not a Perfume'". And they can't see those little quotation marks (unless I make air quotes, and I'm not that kind of girl), so they say, "Okay, then ... what IS it??" , and I smile gently and repeat "It's 'Not a Perfume'". And, you know, you can go on like that for quite a while. Or until they administer a series of smart slaps. Good fun. (Especially enjoyable if the day before you were wearing D. S. & Durga's 'I Don't Know What' and you ran into that same person and they asked you that same question.) But try this stuff; it's good.
